Nov. 2002 Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has called on the international community to target Iran as soon as the imminent conflict with Iraq is complete.
Dec. 2003 An operation to destroy Iran's nuclear capabilities if necessary is under consideration, according to [Israeli] Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz. ..In a report to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Mossad head Meir Dagan recently described the Iranian threat as the greatest one Israel has ever faced, but did not say how Israel would counter it.
Aug. 2004 A senior commander in Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards Corps said... "The entire Zionist territory including its nuclear establishments and atomic munitions are now within the range of Iran's advanced missiles..Javani said neither the United States nor "the Zionist regime" will carry out their threats against Iran considering the high cost of a possible attack. Such an attack "could only happen out of anger and stupidity, thus the Islamic regime officials must always maintain their promptness to tackle probable military threats," he added.

Aug. 2004 For the first time, Tehran has threatened a preemptive strike against U.S. troops in the region. When asked if Iran would respond to a U.S. attack on its nuclear facilities, Iranian Rear-Admiral Ali Shamkhani told Al Jazeera TV Wednesday "We will not sit (with arms folded) to wait for what others will do to us.. The US military presence (in Iraq) will not become an element of strength (for Washington) at our expense. The opposite is true, because their forces would turn into a hostage..." Earlier the week, the deputy chief of the elite Revolutionary Guards, Brig. Gen. Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr said that Tehran would strike the Israeli reactor at Dimona if Israel attacks the Islamic republic's own burgeoning nuclear facilities.
Sept. 2004 Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said in an interview published Wednesday that the world is not doing enough to stop Iran from developing atomic weapons and that Israel is taking its own measures to protect itself.

Sept. 2004 Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Iran and its nuclear ambitions represent "a very great danger" to the Jewish state.... "We will rely on other parties for the moment but only up to a point when we will have to rely only on ourselves.."
Sept. 2004 Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi warned Wednesday his country would react "most severely" to any Israeli strike against its nuclear facilities.  (Anti-aircraft guns around the Natanz nuclear facility.)
Iranian Missiles Threaten Israel/Iraq
Russian missle parts for Shahab-3 - 1300 mile range, put Israel and US forces in the region in reach.  Chinese companies have sold CSS-8 and DF-15 ballistic missiles to Iran, along with cruise missiles identified as HY-1, HY-2 Silkworm, C-201, C-601, C-801 and C-802.
Sept 2004: US Sells Israel Bunker/Smart Bombs to Attack Iran
Known by the military designations GBU-27 or GBU-28, "bunker busters" are guided by lasers or satellites and can penetrate up to 30 feet of earth and concrete. Israel may already have some of the bombs for its U.S.-supplied F-15 fighter jets

The transfer also includes 2,500 2,000-pound Mark-84 bombs, 500 1,000-pound Mark-83 bombs, 1,500 500-pound Mark-82 bombs and live fuses.  All the bombs are being fitted with the Joint Direct Air Munitions (JDAM) kit which uses inertial guidance and beacons from U.S. military Global Positioning Satellites for deadly accuracy.
